The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that for those unlikely to be exposed to the coronavirus, like the American public, the immediate health risk is considered low at this time.

Based upon this risk assessment, the APS March Meeting will proceed as planned in Denver, Colorado, March 2-6, 2020.

APS is concerned with the health and well-being of its members, attendees, and staff. Therefore, we advise anyone planning to attend the meeting to assess their personal situation and plan accordingly.

There will be a first aid station at the Colorado Convention Center staffed with personnel trained to help any individual who feels unwell. Note that Denver’s high altitude can be a big transition for some. Symptoms of altitude sickness are similar to those of the flu with the exception of fever. If you have a fever, seek medical attention immediately.
