Bystander Intervention: A Tool to Build Inclusive and Equitable Society Events and Workplaces

Please note: This session is full, but a second session will be scheduled this spring. Please fill out the form if you are interested in the upcoming second session.

APS is committed to providing an environment that is welcoming to all participants and free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. In support of this commitment, a virtual session is being offered to attendees.

Have you ever wanted to speak up about a situation of bias or harassment, but you didn't? Bystander intervention training can help. In this workshop, we'll review how to intervene as a bystander to prevent harassment, bullying, and other negative behaviors. You will learn strategies for engagement and interruption, calling in versus calling out, being an ally, how bystander intervention fits into creating a healthy professional environment, and more.
