Scienta Omicron, Inc.

Scienta Omicron is a leading innovator in surface science and nanotechnology. At our technology centers in Uppsala, Sweden and Taunusstein, Germany we develop and produce high-tech instruments sold and serviced from our four regional hubs in USA, China, Japan and Germany to support top researchers globally.

We provide top capabilities in electron spectroscopy, scanning probe microscopy and thin film deposition, all in ultra-high vacuum (UHV). Focusing on the race for new unique materials and solutions, in areas like – smarter batteries, next generation electronics, quantum technologies, solar energy, intelligent sensors and advanced materials Scienta Omicron drives the surface science towards the future. Customers purchasing products from Scienta Omicron invest in Nobel Prize technologies.

Special Offers

  1. Angle Resolved Photoelectron Spectroscopy (ARPES) has emerged as the most powerful technique to understand the electronic structure of materials and what can influence their physics and chemistry. Scienta Omicron´s ARPES Lab is designed to maximize the advantages gained from the revolutionary DA30-L hemispherical high-resolution analyzer with its patented in-lens deflector. The analyzer measures the full 3D surface cone of a band-structure without sample tilt.

  1. Scienta Omicron’s HAXPES Lab brings hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (HAXPES) capability directly to the local laboratory environment. Using world class technology and expert engineering, the HAXPES Lab sets the standard for laboratory based high energy photoelectron spectroscopy. This novel system probes bulk samples properties and accesses deep core level electrons via photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) without the need for a synchrotron end station.

  1. Scienta Omicron´s Materials Innovation Platform (MIP) integrate instrumentation for growth with sophisticated in-situ characterization tools. Samples can thus be analysed at intermediate process steps to understand cause-effect correlations of a novel material’s growth and structure without leaving the clean UHV environment at any time. Scienta Omicron’s broad portfolio enables us to act as a single source supplier and a reliable partner for the design, production and in-field support, ensuring a smooth delivery process and a high system uptime.
